A system of integrative medicine based on the diagnosis and manipulative treatment of specific joint restrictions, especially those of the spinal column, which can affect the nerves, muscles, and organs. Providing optimal motion in the spinal segments allows for the nerves to properly communicate with the rest of your body and flow freely.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation is a form of treatment that allows for the detection and treatment of myofascial dysfunction. Specifically designed instruments are utilized, often resolving issues once thought to be permanent using specifically designed instruments.
Through the hands-on evaluation of the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves, we are able to diagnose and treat soft tissue disorders. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements.
First used by acupuncturists and chiropractors in Japan, today kinesiology tape is used by practitioners throughout the world to treat injuries and improve sports performance.
